A Surgeon's Solution to Enhance the Buttocks

As a plastic surgeon, I have been performing fat transfers to the body for over 27 years and in the last 12 years have seen the Brazilian Butt Lift evolve to a current state of art sculpting and shaping procedure of the lower abdomen, posterior and lateral thighs along with a layered fat transfer to the gluteal region.

In my 30+ years of experience as a surgeon, I have enjoyed a wonderful fat graft "take rate" with my procedure along with very satisfied patients.  The fat cells harvested for the transplant process are handled in a sterile manner while undergoing centrifugation to aid in concentrating the stem cells.  After rinsing them in a sterile saline wash, the fat cells are carefully transferred in a gradual fashion to build up the gluteal region and achieve the projection and elevation to meet our patients desire.

Recovery

One of the most important parts of the process is post-op care, namely avoiding pressure on the gluteal area for 2 weeks.

We encourage our patients not to sit or lay on the new fat grafts after the procedure for two weeks to ensure the fat cells will have a better than average chance of establishing a new blood supply. We special-order garments to obtain the correct amount of compression in the area, we ambulate right after surgery, and we use our surgipak vitamin supplements to ensure patients attain a wonderful result.
